Jewel Needs Your Help!
When the officer arrived to pick up a stray
dog he discovered a very affectionate Husky that looked up at him as if to
say thanks for coming to get me. Jewel was apparently hit by a car
and left behind. She has a serious injury to her right rear hip and foot.
She lost all the skin on her right foot. The type of injury is referred to
as a `degloving` injury. She has a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament that
requires surgery. The shelter is trying to raise the money to perform this
very important surgery. Jewel is an amazingly kind, gentle dog that steals
the heart of anyone who meets her. She`s gentle and affectionate and is very
